K's first day of 1st Grade (2012)

Yesterday was Kaelin's first day of 1st grade! We knew some of the kids in her class, but we didn't think we knew her teacher (Mrs. Barber).  Come to find out her teacher was her technology teacher last year (Ms. Nimms), and she had gotten married over the summer.  Kaelin was happy she knew her and liked her! Her bus comes earlier this year (7:30) though so far it's been really late (almost 8!).  Hopefully it will get more reliable!

Ready for her first day in her outfit she picked out with Aunti Amy for her birthday!

Kaelin and Abby (3rd Grade this year!)

Kaelin, Abby and Alex (5th grade this year!).  Our driveway is the bus stop for all three, since Alex and Abby live just next door.

Waiting to get on.

Waiving goodbye. (and I didn't even cry this year!)

Afternoon - getting off the bus.  She said it was a great day. She likes her teacher and being back at school, but we could tell she was exhausted!

Delayed Bday Pics

Jecca took the girls birthday pics Monday. Yes I know, a bit (almost a month) or so delayed! We've been busy!  Anyhow, we went down to the mill nearby with their dolls and took some fun pictures.  These are unedited, because I'm impatient and Jecca and Chris are leaving for their honeymoon tomorrow (also delayed). PS Pray for them...they are heading to the Dominican Republic where Hurricane Isaac is currently gearing up.  Praying it dies down and they have a wonderful week!

Pool Party 2012

At the end of every summer Angela and Bill host a pool party for the Trezona side of our family.  It is a day of FUN!  The kids love the water and this year spent 90% of the time in the pool, only getting out for a short lunch break.

Logan had fun as long as someone kept him moving.  He didn't like to sit, and he REALLY didn't like to get splashed in the face!

Uncle Jasey makes a great boat ride.

Hey dad, what's up?  haha

Blessed

We are so blessed to live near all of Justin's family! I love that we are able to live in a neighborhood where the kids can have friends and their schools close by.  However, I also love that we are close enough to Justin's family to ride 4 wheeler's at Papa Keith and Grandma Cindy's and play on the farm at Papa Tom and Grandma Barb's.

Last week, the corn was ready so we headed out to the farm to pick, husk, steam and freeze corn...and of course eat some :)  I love that our children get these experiences.

Hailey loved helping to pick and husk the corn.  It was hard work for her, she only got 4-5 ears done, but she stuck with it and was so proud of herself!

Kaelin loves Uncle Jasey's garden. She was very excited to go out and help him pick vegetables and then help snap beans.

Lawrence County Fair 2012

Every year we attend the Lawrence County Fair with Grandma Cindy and Papa Keith, always on Thursday - truck and tractor pull night. This year Amy and I went about an hour and a half earlier than everyone else so the kids could spend more time on rides. It was a good choice by us! No lines and the kids LOVED it!

I think it's funny that they see cows all the time at Papa Tom's and Grandma Barb's....but they still love to see them at the fair.

Hugging the 4H bear

They played a game and each won a pony.

Birthday Surprises continue...

Today the girls received a birthday surprise delivery from Aunti Bobbi and Uncle Ben in Alaska.

Yummy, Cheryl & Co. Cookies!

Everyone had to try some :)

Friday afternoon (as we pulled out for Idlewild) a box also arrived from their great Aunti Brenda and Uncle Dude (Randy) FULL of hair clips, head bands and purses.
(Thanks Bailey for the donated hand me downs).
The girls were sporting a few new hair clips today :)

Idlewild 2012

We just got back from Idlewild Amusement Park in Pennsylvania! Tom and Barb took us -  along with Amy, Brad and Dominic - for 2 nights/2 days at the park. They have a good arrangement of little kid/adult rides, some shows (Thomas the Train), a train ride, Mr. Roger's trolley ride (the kids loved it - we need to find old Mr. Roger shows now!), and a water park.  There is a walk through Storybook Village with a bunch of nursery rhyme characters.  Also, there is a kids dream play land - a HUGE ball pit, potato sack slide and climbing ropes.

Did you know that I HATE Merry Go Rounds. They make me sick - like carsick sick! YUCK! But, Hailey wanted to ride, and I LOVE her. :)

Hailey really wanted this glitter tattoo.  :)

K chose to get a drawing done.

It was a fun weekend that just kept giving - Kaelin slept till 9:30 this morning! If you know her, that is a miracle.  I actually checked on her at 9 am to make sure she was ok!
