Oh my word, our baby boy is 2! Seriously, he is no longer a baby! No more binky -gasp! (He was literally biting through them, so we threw them in the trash. Every once and a while he asks for one, but we just remind him they are all gone, and he says, "Otay.") He sleeps in a big boy bed - a twin. The transition was AWESOME! So much better than I ever expected! Really! He stays in his bed great!
He is learning words left and right! He loves to jump "jumpin" as he says....all of the time :). He loves to pway (play), eat (a lot!), at wear his "toat" (coat) to go outside. He really loves to go out to the bus in the morning to say goodbye to his sisters.
His party this year was Train Themed. I was able to find a cute conductor's outfit for him, and Jecca took pics ( these are unedited - so ignore the giant scab on his head! He was jumping on Hailey's bed, and hit his head on her canopy - note under Justin's watch ;))
His party was actually held the Sunday before his birthday! An upcoming business woman at our church made his cake and amazing cupcakes for us (cinnamon, peanut butter cup and orange cream).
He loves balloons.
You can totally make logan's day by bringing him a cheap latex helium filled ballon on a long string :).
Train Snacks: Animal Cars (animal crackers/cookies), Coal Car (tootsie rolls), and Log Car (pretzels).
We also had pizza and drinks.
Chillin' with a big boy cup.
Not a fan of the birthday song. He cried the entire time.
*Note: At his actual birthday dinner he just kept saying," Nope, Nope Nope." the entire time.
Trying to get a refill.
Bouncing fun!
Creating our own train. Pull Big Brother :) The kids took turns lining up 2-3 of the pull carts along this rope and then dragging each other around the room.
The party was wonderful!
I think we ended up with about 60 of our local friends and family joining us at our church for the afternoon. Thank you to all that pour love into our kids and helped us to celebrate Logan's special day!
Promise to all that attended: I will not stuff the piñata so full the kids can't break it next time!!
On Logan's actual birthday, Justin and I were able to spend some one on one time with him while the girls were in school. We went to Toys R Us (he "meaning Justin chose a race track :) ), lunch and the park.
We chose to go to a local Hibachi house for lunch because we like it and we know Logan likes rice. Win all around right? WRONG! Didn't think that one through at all. He was terrified of the fire at a table nearby and was not a fan. We made it up to him later though, with some fun at the park!
All in all, I think he had a good day :)
