Sleep deprived

This morning I tried to skip Hailey's morning nap for 2 reasons: 1, so she would sleep at the same time as Kaelin, and 2, so she would be awake and happy during picture time this afternoon. She did really well during the morning!

I put her in her high chair at about 10:45 for an early lunch/snack (we usually eat around 11:30) and then I was going to put her down for her nap. This is what occured:

Now, a good mom probably would have immediately rescued her, cleaned her up, and laid her down. I chose to grab the camera first...and then rescue her.
For all of you wondering, she is now in bed sound asleep! :)
Hello all! Quick update for you from the Magee world :)! Things are crazy as usual! We are preparing for a busy month ahead! Hailey has her 9 month doctor appointment next Wednesday, and then Friday we are supposed to close on our new house. Please pray for our house closing as we are waiting on an appraisal that was ordered a week and a half ago!!

The 30th we have a wedding to attend, and then the 31st we move!!! Unfortunately, I have yet to pack a single item!!! Justin is out of town today, and won't be back until Friday. Then he is gone again Sunday and won't be back until Wednesday!

We leave for Alaska on June 6th, and will be there until the 22nd for my sister's wedding! We are very excited to see my family, and hopefully some friends from high school!!

My health - I have been officially diagnosed as having rheumatoid arthritis. I am on a daily medication and anti inflammatory. I am definitely sore if I do too much (i.e. mowing the grass on Monday was NOT a good idea - still feeling it today!)

I think that is it! :) Oh - as most of you know we LOVE Chick Fil A!! We currently have two locations within 10 minutes of our home (this will change to about 20 minutes after we move :( ) Both locations do family night on Tuesdays - free kid's meals and ice cream! One location also does a monthly theme night. May 5th was Superhero night. Spiderman was there! Our nephew even wore his Superman jammies and cape. Justin took the girls and they both got balloon creatures. Hailey's was an Elmo hat and Kaelin had a bear that was holding a flower. I tried to get pictures when they got home - but they didn't turn out well. Here are the best!

Yes Kaelin is on the phone - she is telling Grandma Donna about her evening!

Hopefully I will be able to post more pictures in the next few days. We will see Jecca this afternoon and I will get the pictures she took of the girls a few weeks ago. Also, this afternoon we are going into the studio where she works so the girls can act as models! We will see how that goes :).

Hailey Stands

Sunday our favorite photographer (Jecca) was here again! She was taking shots of the girls in their Easter dresses, and some others - to mark Hailey's upcoming 9 month birthday (Thursday). Hailey decided to start standing on her own - and we got a picture of it!!

We have also been experimenting with Kaelin's hair! This is a picture of her in pigtails! She loves to have her hair up in a pony tail - but usually wants 2!

I should have more pictures to post from Sunday in a few weeks - after Jecca is able to edit them etc. She has also invited us to the studio where she works so that she can start building a portfolio! Kaelin and Hailey are going to be her models for an afternoon - and we get to use the props and get the pictures if we want them! FUN!

After a month of search, driving through neighborhoods and seeing houses (sometimes twice) we found one! We put an offer in last night, and after some negotiating today, our offer was accepted! It is in Austintown, OH (about 15 minutes from where we are now).

We close on my birthday (5/23) and move in 5/31 - Who wants to help? :) Of course we only have a week to move because 6/6 we are on a plane headed for Alaska for Bobbi's wedding!

If you want to take a look - go to www.howardhanna.com and type in the MLS number 3018603.

Easter 2009

Easter was a busy day for our household!

The day started with Easter baskets at our house and breakfast:

Then we drove to Grove City and went to church with Papa Tom, Grandma Barb and Uncle Jasey. After church we went to the farm where the girls' got baskets from Papa Tom and Grandma Barb.

After we fed Hailey a quick lunch, we went across the street to Justin's Grandparents (better known to Kaelin as Big Papa and Grandma). There, along with about 30 other family members, we had lunch, the kids found Easter eggs in the garage and Kaelin got to hang out with her second cousin Carlee, the other redheaded girl in the family (and Kaelin adores her!)

Hailey was pooped after all the excitement and promptly fell asleep after we put her in her seat to leave for our next stop - Grandma Cindy's and Papa Keith's!
Here, the girls' got a third basket for the day! (the Easter bunny was busy this year!) Kaelin also got to find some eggs outside with Uncle Chris and Jecca - she was really getting into it too - especially when she realized some of the eggs held money for her piggy bank!

All in all it was a long, busy, and wonderful day! The girls fell asleep on the way home about 2 minutes after we left our last stop for the night!

Last Week

Last week we had a busy week! Monday night was spent frosting Easter cookies.

Tuesday night was spent dying eggs, and exchanging Easter baskets with Dominic (their cousin).

Thanks for the harmonica - Aunti Amy and Uncle Brad!! :p

Aunt Amy and Uncle Brad also got Hailey a cell phone (it's actually a calculator that beeps everytime you push a number - she loves it!!)

Early last week we also received a box from Great Grandma Jan in Arizona! She sent Kaelin the cutest bunny themed tea set! Kaelin was so excited!! So, Wednesday night we set out cookies and had a chocolate milk tea party. She had so much fun and was very careful! It was a blast to watch! I am sure tea parties will become a regular occasion at our house now!

Thursday and Friday Justin was off of work! The girls always love having him home - so we spent those two days with family and playing with the girls.

Accomplishments

Hello Everyone! It has been 2 weeks since our last post - and we have had many accomplishments!

Hailey is now 8 months old (as of Monday). She is fully crawling, pulling herself up to stand on everything and will walk holding your fingers. She has managed to stand on her own - but only for 5-10 seconds at a time. She is having a really hard time sleeping the past week and a half. After talking to the doctor with the rest of her symptons, we believe she is working on getting her first tooth! We shall see. It was right around Easter when Kaelin got her first tooth - so they are on the same timeline.

Kaelin is now fully potty trained. After two days of training, and two accidents (a few weeks ago) we have only had one accident in the past 3 weeks! YEA!

The weather here is starting to warm up - 50/60 - but we have been getting a bunch of rain. Our lease is up in May, so we are looking over our options and trying to decide if we are ready for a move, or if we want to wait another year. Pray for wisdom! Take a look at the pictures below of the girls - Enjoy!

Here are some pictures of the girls at Justin's cousin - Katie's - bridal shower:

Hailey Grace - so tired

Here are some pictures of Hailey on Monday - when she turned 8 months:

Proud of herself, standing on the play table.
Riding her first ride at Chuck E Cheese. We think she liked it. :)
