Canfield Fair

It has been a fun summer that is quickly becoming fall!

Last weekend we spent the evening at the park, followed by a trip to Handel's. The girls ENJOY their ice cream.

Friday night we spent at the Canfield fair! We had a large group - we went with Chris and Jecca, then met Papa Tom and Grandma Barb and then our friends Tami and Brian.

Hailey LOVES her Unca Chis!

K got to hold a duckling with Daddy.

Watching the baby chicks hatch.

The girls got a kick out of seeing this black squirrel run the power lines.

A lot of rides were ridden by the girls! We are still surprised by how adventurous our shy little Hailey has become. She loved riding with her sister!

For those of you who live in the area, guess who we saw?! Wierd hat guy!!! He left the Boardman Mall for a bit to attend the fair - I had to get a picture :).

Hailey won crown on the ducky game.

Kaelin likes to wear grandma's glasses - I think she looks like a DIVA.

Hailey likes to eat cotton candy, especially if its blue! :)

Trezona Time Capsule/Pool Party

Sunday was the Annual Pool Party at Angela and Bill's. It was also time to dig up the Trezona Time Capsule (this is done every 10 years).

Again, Hailey surprised us by joining her sister in the pool for about 5 hours straight - they were turning blue! She also went down the water slide!

Digging up the Time Capsule. It was odd. It was buried in the Summer of 2010 - about a year after Justin and I started dating. We found a picture of Justin and I a few months after we started dating, along with some souvenirs from his trip to Alaska that summer.

Kaelin got bored quick - so she played with a 'hooplahoop' that Aunt Karen brought.

Lawrence County Fair 2010

Thursday night was our usual evening at the Lawrence County Fair with Grandma Cindy and Papa Keith. The girls had a ton of fun as always. Hailey totally surprised us all by wanting to ride every ride allowed! She was even visibly upset when she wasn't tall enough to ride the kiddie coaster with K! It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that she was afraid of anything and everything!!

Kaelin was such an awesome big sister. She waited at the top and cheered Hailey on as she climbed up the steps to the slide. She then encouraged her back down the slide as Hailey went inch by inch. Seriously, I have NEVER seen a kid slide down a slide as slowly as Hailey did that night!

In the spinning dragon were: Justin, Kaelin, Jecca, Hailey, Dominic and Amy. The kids had a blast, though Aunti Amy looked a little green when she got out. I took a ton of pictures as they spun by us, but almost everyone looks exactly like this!

Watching the tractor pull with Grandma, while eating a sno cone.

Birthday Luau 2010

On August 14th We hosted a backyard luau for the girl's birthday. We were planning on about 90 people. Unfortunately the weird weather and other circumstances kept some guests away. We ended up with a backyard of about 50 friends and family. Thankfully we also had 2 large canopy tents set up, because mid-afternoon the rain hit for a bit!

The girls had fun, and that's what matters. Here are a few pictures:

PINATA TIME: Eventually we had to rip it open - the 6 kids and 2 different bats didn't make a dent!

Amazing cakes made by my friend Tami:

I think Hailey liked the cake. :) She must have eaten 5 pieces that day (frosting only of course!)

Family Visit

Some of my family came to visit!! My mom was here for 8 days and my dad was here for 5 - both were able to attend the girls' party! Also my brother completely surprised me one day (Justin knew) and stayed for 2 & 1/2 weeks! It was a great visit and my girls loved having them here!

I don't know why, but whenever someone is visiting I forget to take pictures! Here a few of everyone outside one afternoon.

Hailey trying out her sister's bike (she is currently loving using her sister's old trike.)
Justin trying out Kaelin's bike.
Kaelin LOVES her bike and is riding like a pro.
Mom and Hailey - Tickle Time
Hailey thinks she is big enough to climb alone - Ray is being the safety.
The girls thought it was fun to slide down and slam into Gamma Donna :).

Cute pic.
