Mostly Logan :)

My parents are due to visit for Thanksgiving.  However, last minute (like 3 days before she actually arrived) we decided my mom needed to come visit and meet Logan the week after he was born :).  She was here almost 2 weeks (just left this morning).  We didn't take many pics of her and Logan or the girls, but I promise she was here and I have proof :).

Uncle Ray and Logan

Logan using an IPhone for the first time - with Uncle's help.

 Proud Big Sisters!!!

Something about holding Logan makes Daddy sleepy.

Behind the binky, something was funny.

This little guy is reminding us of K when she was a baby.  Several times now he is fighting till the bitter end taking a nap (ALREADY!).  Doesn't want to miss anything! Also, he is 2.5 weeks old and when I checked on him this am he had rolled over to his stomach!!!

These pictures aren't of Logan...but of the girls loving (torturing) Uncle Ray.  It is amazing having him live here!  The girls LOVE him to death (especially Hailey).

2 weeks old and Bath Time

Logan is 2 weeks old already!  Yesterday he measured 22 inches and 8 pounds, 13 ounces!  That means he gained 1 pound, 2 ounces in 10 days ( or 12 ounces since his original birth weight 2 weeks ago).  He is a strong growing boy!  He is in the 95% for height and 90% for weight!

I'm not sure if he is really frustrated here or just doesn't want his picture taken.

Today Logan had his first bath (not a sponge bath).  He was really content and liked to slide right down in the water to be warm.  Now getting dressed was a different matter, he seemed pretty ticked that I took him out of the tub.

On a side note, my Mom got the girls a very cool tub toy!  They are styrofoam dolls that work like magnet (or paper dolls), only for the tub.  The girls had a blast with them!

Picture Day, Potato Picking and Logan Pictures

I forgot to post about picture day....The last week in September K had picture day.  Even though we have a wonderful photographer (Thanks Jecca!), we have to have our first Kindergarten picture! I haven't seen how they turned out yet of course, but here is the picture we took that morning at home.

Potato Picking 2011:
Grandma Cindy and Papa Keith have  a large garden every year with bell peppers, cucumbers, cabbage etc.  AND potatoes!  Kaelin loves to help Grandma Cindy pick the potatoes every year.

Kaelin found a potato that looked like Mickey.

Hailey wanted to help... until she saw a worm.

Rolling around the yard:
Aunti Bobbi sent the girls this giant ball.  The girls can actually climb in and roll around the yard.  It is hysterical to watch and then to see them climb out dizzy :)

Logan pictures:
Logan is doing great.  He is a good eater and sleeper. In general he is a very content baby, though NOT a fan of sponge baths.  His umbilical cord just fell off last night, so we will try a full bath probably tomorrow. Hopefully he will like that better.  His next doctor appointment is Tuesday afternoon.  We will learn then how well he is really eating :)  I can already tell he is doing better then K and H did at this age and we had to start supplementing formula.  I am really hoping to avoid that with Logan.

Giving himself his first Fishhook :)

First Time in the swing

Smiling in his sleep :) I LOVE newborn facial expressions!

Hailey really seems to like being a big sister.  She is constantly checking on Logan.

First Sponge Bath - NOT a happy camper!

Grove City Visit 10/15:

Meeting Papa Keith

Grandma Cindy and Papa Keith with Kaelin, Hailey and Logan

Meeting Great Grandma Magee (Big Grandma Magee).
We recently realized that Logan is the first Great Grandson with the Magee last name.

Meeting Great Grandpa Magee (Big Papa Magee).  He almost made me cry.
Grandpa liked that Logan's name sounds very irish :).

Logan is here!

It has been a very eventful few weeks! Last Wednesday (9/28) I got to spend a few hours at labor and delivery due to severe back pains.  The dr. was worried it might be an infection, but instead determined early back labor.  I had a follow up appointment on Monday (10/3), where all of the sudden my blood pressure was registering high - back to labor and delivery for a few hours.  That being said, on Tuesday, October 4 we headed in to Labor and Delivery at 5am for the real thing - induction style.

At 5:43pm, after over 12 hours of labor (the hardest labor of all 3 kids), Logan Patrick Magee joined the world.  He weighs 8 lbs, 1 oz (the same that Hailey did at birth and just an ounce lighter than Kaelin was).  He was measured at 22 inches (though later we learned he is closer to 21" - there was some molding on his head that added to his original length).   He has the worlds LONGEST toes (seriously, his big toe is almost the size of Hailey's thumb!).  His hair seems to be a very light brown/dark blond with hints of red, but there isn't much of it.  His eyes (as of now) are a very dark grey blue.  He is beautiful and perfect!

His big sisters LOVE him.  Hailey says he's her baby boy.  They both always want to check on him and hold him (even if its only for a 10 second moment).

These are the pictures the hospital photographer got of him on Thursday.  They turned out very well!

We got home from the hospital on Thursday afternoon.  It was gorgeous out! We enjoyed a family picnic out back.

Had to take a picture of the toes :).

Yesterday Logan had his first dr. appointment.  He has lost only about 6 oz (which is really good).  He is eating well and sleeping well and is a joy to have in our family.  I am good as well - though tired and sore (to be expected).  I am feeling so blessed by our three beautiful children!
