3 months!

Yesterday Hailey turned 3 months old! It is amazing to me how fast the time passes! At one moment she reminds me of Kaelin at that age -and the next she has her own little laughing personality (Kaelin was not a giggler). She is weighing about 13 lbs, and appears to be over 24 inches long (according to my measurments)!

In the afternoon Kaelin decided it was naptime - for her, Hailey and Penguin! So cute - here's a picture!

Snow!

Today we got our first snow! Kaelin's response as she watched out the window was, " Snow is coming down on my grass. Mommy will fix it later, in a little bit." Not sure how I am going to fix this!

Seagulls

Let me start by saying - I love my husband so much! He is such a good provider for our family, and a wonderful hands-on dad! There are often nights he walks in the door after work, looks at my face and sees the look (the one that says I've been trapped inside all day with crabby kids). He is always willing to jump right in and/or take over for a bit!

That being said - I don't know how I feel about him teaching Kaelin to terrorize animals! A few days ago we took Kaelin to the park, followed by a dinner of chicken nuggets. There was a peaceful gathering of seagulls finishing someone's leftovers in the parking lot. Justin's first thought was to jump out of the car, grab Kaelin, and run straight for them!

They both thought it was a blast- but I don't think the seagulls agreed!

Pumpkin Carving

Last night we finally carved our pumpkins! As some of you know this was a victory for our family - because our first set of pumpkins were smashed on the sidewalk a few weeks ago. (Thank you Papa Tom and Grandma Barb for the new pumpkins!).

Kaelin helped pull the goo out after a while - at first she said it was yucky and there was poop in her pumpkin! Then she dug in and of course eventually tried to eat it!
Justin did all of the carving while I did the seed roasting! Yummy! Hopefully these pumpkins make it through Halloween!

So proud!

Okay, even though we are in the middle of the 'terrible two's' (yes they do exist!), we have been working on Kaelin's manners - please, thank you, etc.

Today, I had a chiropractor appointment, to which I had to take both girls of course. The nurses, office staff and even 'Dr. John', love to see the girls and always end up cracking up at Kaelin for something - today it was her sweather with the elf style hood that hangs down her back.

Anyhow - back to the original reason for this post - Kaelin made me so proud! She was eating a snack of raisins in a small cup I gave her, but as we were loading up to go she dropped the cup. She did not through a fit (a usual reaction), but instead bent down to start picking up the raisins. Dr. John also bent down to help her. As I turned around with Hailey, I quietly reminded Kaelin to say Thank You to Dr. John for his help. He looked at me in amazement and said - "She already did! How old is she?" I of course replied - she just turned 2 in August!

What a good girl!

Who are we voting for?

Our little Monkey and Banana

So yesterday we took the girls trick or treating with their cousins for the first time! Kaelin spent an hour and half touring Grove City and raking in the candy! Hailey spent an hour and a half sleeping and then staring at the trees!

Yesterday also gave us yet another reminder that Kaelin is a bit obsessive compulsive like her mother. We went into a sunroom of one home to get candy - but Kaelin couldn't leave until she had picked all of the leaves up off of the carpet!!! That's my girl!
