Fun times!

This weekend we had so much fun! On Saturday our friends Erin and Jeff came up for the afternoon (the girls love them!). The guys went to the driving range, while Erin and I stayed with the girls. Then we all went for wings!

Sunday our friends Kathy, Peter and their daughter Claire (soon to be 2) came for a visit from DC! They were able to stay until Tuesday evening! We had so much fun with them! We played with the kids, went to Chipotle, took the kids to Chuck E Cheese (it was Claire's first time!!), and went to Wagon Trails! http://www.wagontrails.com/ The kids loved it - it is an hour long 'safari' through about 60 acres. It is located about 25 minutes from us in Vienna, OH.

They have cows, water buffalo, bison, ostrich, deer, elk, pigs, goats, kangaroo, camels, llamas, zebra and ponies. They give you buckets of feed you use to feed the animals from the wagon! Kaelin of course LOVED it! Hailey was funny - at first she wasn't impressed, then she tried to reach out and pet the animals. However, if she actually was able to pet one, she started to cry! We all had so much fun - Justin and I think we are going to go again in the fall -they are running a special for the fall. You get the regular safari and then an additional ride on a hay wagon to toss apples to the animals for the same fee!

Anyhow - here are some pictures from our fun weekend. Also for those of you haven't heard... Hailey is officially walking :). She did take a few steps during our trip to Alaska, but when we got home it seems she forgot how. Last Monday (7/13) she not only remembered but started walking about 3/4 of the day! Nothing can stop her now; except the dog, sister, cousin ....etc. :)

Kaelin - feeding the goats and donkeys.

Kaelin (on the wagon) staring at the huge tongue trying to catch food.

Peter and Claire (I LOVE her hair - it is so curly!)

Hailey trying to pet the elk's horns - they were all velvet.

Hailey tried and pet the baby camel - and then she cried.

Kaelin used her Chuck E Cheese tickets to purchase this crown. It came with the jewels, but you stuck them on yourself. She had me peel off the sticky paper on the back and then decorated the crown all by herself. I think she did an amazing job!
Hailey is a daredevil! Here she is standing in the car (yes she has a buckle on). However instead of holding the steering wheel, she is holding the dashboard!

Claire is driving :)

1year/3year pictures!

Jecca was here yesterday and took the girls 1 year and 3 year pictures. We let Kaelin be herself - she got to wear her dress shoes, a fancy headband and a tutu. Hailey got to play with cake! It was so much fun! If you want to order a copy (or several) please let me know by July 23rd. Remember, Jecca can great a montage as well. She made some great ones for us last time. She took our three favorite pictures and put them together to create an 8x10 collection for us! Very cute!

Happy July 4th

On Saturday- July 4th- Amy, Justin and I took the kids to the Canfield Fairgrounds. They had some fair food stands, bounce arounds and games for the kids, and Karaoke (some girl rocked the Hannah Montana theme song!).
Kaelin in the obstacle course.

Hailey kept playing peek a boo with the frisbee! What a goof!

Kaelin on the slide - she would only go on her belly for some reason!

Kaelin thought this was cool. There was a man standing a few feet away with a remote control and headset. He made the bird move and talk to the kids - she loved it!

Getting a sticker from the 'tall man'.

Hailey did NOT want to meet the 'tall man'.

Hailey says, "Happy 4th of July!"

Kaelin and Daddy waiting to for her turn in the Mickey's Castle Bounce Around.

I am pretty sure she is cheating here.

Finally! She went down the slide like a normal kid.

Amy and I had to get this picture with the man in the background - his arm has a tattoo on it that says, "AMY".
After the fun at the fairgrounds we took the kids to Handel's. If you don't know what Handel's is -I'm sorry! It was listed on Food Networks top 10 ice cream spots in America! Homemade goodness - and we have 4 within 10-15 minutes of us!
They give kids free baby sized cones - we decided to have fun and let the babies hold their own for the first time. Needless to say we were all sticky by the end - but it was fun!

Does anyone notice what is going on here? Amy is eating the baby cone while Dominic is slurping her milkshake!

Yep, Hailey is definately holding the cone upside down here.

Hailey's face after she is done - she is a little upset that there is no more ice cream!
