Jecca's Shower

Our Photographer, and soon to be the girls' aunt, Jecca had her bridal shower on Saturday.  She is marrying Chris, Justin's step-brother in June.  We LOVE her! The girls are her flower girls, and are VERY excited!

All ready with pretty dresses and nails.

Cute picture frame centerpieces for the photographer bride.

 Handmade Scratch Off game.

Jecca and Hailey

Kaelin our toilet paper bride model - she won!

Kaelin and Hailey helped open gifts...and gather trash.

Amy, Cindy and I pitched in for Jecca's gift - this towel cake I made.

Her bow bouquet for the rehearsal.

Animal Kingdom

Wednesday was our last day in Florida.  We spent it at Animal Kingdom.  It is very zoo like with exhibits set up and a safari ride.

We rode Expedition Everest (a roller coaster), the Kilimanjaro Safari (we got to see a real Pumba!, and lions, and many other animals), and the Kali River Rapids (again a water ride that Hailey rode twice).  We also saw the Finding Nemo Musical (kinda weird), Flights of Wonder bird show, It's Tough to be a Bug, and the Festival of the Lion King.  We ate at an awesome restaurant for lunch called Yak and Yeti - awesome service and great food!

Hailey wants a bongo!

Kaelin's face after a bird flew overhead during the Flights of Wonder.

Coolest part of the day: Kaelin got called up during the Festival of the Lion King to participate in a dance around the show and shake a mini rain stick.  She was so excited!  She had tried to get Hailey to go up too but Hailey had fallen asleep for about 15 minutes!

After Animal Kingdom we started the drive home.  Let me tell you - Best Vacation! The kids all did great even with weird schedules of going to bed after 10/11 and getting up at 6, weird eating schedules and naps (if any).  Logan was awesome about being in his stroller most the day.  I was shocked that we really didn't start having meltdowns until the last day from the girls.  And, even though we went at the second busiest time of the year (Spring Break, the first is Christmas), we never waited in a line more than 20 minutes! Mostly, thanks to Josette for helping me plan and probably because I am also very organized and had Justin and Ray to help me!

On our way home Wednesday we stopped in Charlotte, NC overnight and got to have lunch Thursday with my friend Kristin and her 4 beautiful children (including the new 6 week old twin boys!).  It was a wonderful visit, however we took NO pictures- shame on us!

The one thing about the entire trip that bums me out is that we lost our 4 Photo passes somewhere.  Throughout Disney there are professional photographers that will take your pics and post them to an online account that is connected to a plastic card.  Good thing we took almost 1000 pics of our own because all 4 cards are gone - we have no idea where, and never even got to view the pics :(.  I am seriously bummed about it! Oh well, I am grateful for Rays and my IPhone cameras and our Canon!!

All in all it was an amazing trip, but I won't repeat it for several years! I'm exhausted! : )

Magic Kingdom - Day 2

Tuesday was our second day at Magic Kingdom, and we still had a TON to do!  We started by riding Goofy's Barnstormer - a roller coaster, followed by Dumbo, The Mad Tea Party and Speedway!  We met Chip and Dale, Woody and Jesse and Daisy and got their autographs.  We also rode the Astro, Orbiter, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Mickey's Philharmagic, participated in the Monster's Laugh Floor and rode Splash Mountain (PS Hailey LOVES water rides and rode twice!).

I like this pic of Ray and the castle.

The guys and K and H are in the first 2 rows.

We took an afternoon nap and headed back for the Electrical Parade and Wishes Fireworks show.

Not a great pic but he loved all the lights!

These are the ears the girls chose for souveniers.

haha-  a pic of Hailey wearing her mask.  Both girls actually wear them even at home now.  BTW K slept on a twin air mattress in the hotel room. Hailey shared with Uncle Ray and would snuggle right up to him, it was so cute!

A Monday at Epcot

Another early morning, but with a little bit more hairspray and some bobby pins the girls kept their princess hairdos!

Epcot was very cool - like 2 different parks.  You could ride Disney rides and then go around the World.  We were able to ride Soarin, participate in Turtle Talk with Crush, the Seas with Nemo and Friends, Test Track, Mission: Space, Maelstrom, have lunch in Norway with the Princesses (Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, and Snowwhite - and the autographs we were missing.  I even brought the girls' dresses to wear), Spaceship Earth,  Living with the Land,
and Journey into Imagination with Figment.
We were also able visit all of the countries where Kaelin and Hailey got their 'passport stamps'.

K tried caviar - it ended up being the first seafood she DOESN'T like!

Epcot was having a Flower Festival while we were there, so there were a lot of extra little plant exhibits in the Disney themes that were awesome.

For Dominic:

Easter Sunday and our day of rest

We decided to take some time off from the parks on Sunday.   It was a very weird Easter for us as we are usually at home celebrating at church and with family.  The Easter bunny visited us at our hotel and even brought the kids' baskets!!

The view from our hotel room. You can't tell from this pic but someone used pink cloth to spell EASTER on some of the chairs.

Then we headed to Disney's Polynesian resort to have breakfast with Lilo and Stitch (and get their autographs) and see Mickey Pluto and Goofy at O'Hanna.  This was by far Justin's favorite meal I think!  It was a big breakfast served family style with sausage, bacon, eggs, waffles, biscuits, fruit and amazing juice.

The guys took K and H down to the pool while I organized and got some rest with Logan.  Then everyone took a wonderful nap.  We had dinner at our hotel - which had an amazing spread because of the holiday!  Kaelin ate about 10 clams and mussels. The kids got their pic with the Easter Bunny.
(PS the pics of all the desserts are for Amy and Brad...they are always taking pictures of food.)

That evening we headed back to downtown Disney to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  The girls were transformed into princesses. (I saved about $100 per girl by bringing their own dresses from home!) They got their makeup, nails and hair done.  The Boutique gave them Mickey hair clips, crowns, sashes, 2 bottles of nail polish, some hair ties and stick on gems.
