The Farm 5/2

On Sunday we spent the day in Grove City. We spent part of the day with Papa Tom and Grandma Barb out to lunch and then on the farm.

Then in the evening we spent time with Papa Keith and Grandma Cindy eating sloppy joes and relaxing. BTW - Jecca, you totally cheated at Uno Attack. However, I don't care, cause I KILLED you and Ray in Yahtzee :) The girls also had fun swimming, I mean taking a tubby, in Grandma's GIANT tub :).

I didn't get many pics, but here are a few of the girls on the farm. One funny thing is that Hailey has been around these cows since she was 4 days old. However, if you get within 5 feet of one, she still screams! What a goof!

All in all it was a fun day!

Hailey - here she is, unimpressed that we tried to take her into the barn to see the new orphaned calf, Dora. (BTW Dora was adorable, until she slimed my sweatshirt while trying to eat it. Oh wait...haha it was Jason's sweatshirt I had borrowed :) )

Pittsburgh Zoo 4/29

Thursday Ray and I took the girls to Pittsburgh zoo. It was fun, and CHEAP! Ray and I got in for free, because it was Vision month. If you donated a pair of old eye glasses you got in for free! The girls loved the animals. I was laughing a little, because they actually loved the goldfish in some of the larger animals' ponds, more than they cared about the elephants and giraffes.

Hailey LOVED the monkeys, or ooh ahh ahh's as she kept calling them. She did come home with a little stuffed monkey that she has slept with every night since.

At the end of the zoo, there is a great playground with large slides. Hailey was a big girl and went up the big stairs all by herself.

Knee Update

Today I had my follow up with Dr. Pantelakis for my knee surgery. I am done with Physical Therapy!!! He said to get back to my regular activities slowly. hahaha I think I got back to them 3 days after surgery.

I still cannot run, do lunges or squats, or kneel. I am supposed to continue stretching it. However other than that I am good to go. I only have to wear my brace on days I will be doing a lot - walking or working. Soon I will be healed! Yea!!!

Niagara Falls 2010

We made a quick trip to Niagara Falls on Sunday, then came home late Monday. Sunday it was misting out and a little chilly, but not bad. The kids had a blast playing in the puddles! We stayed at an Embassy Suites - it was nice. Justin and Ray did a bit of gambling - enough to pay for our trip! Sunday evening we got to spend some time in the pool.

Monday we went to the Hershey store, Rainforest Cafe, Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, and just walked around.

ClubHouse Restaurant with Uncle Ray and Eric & Sarah

Ray is here for a visit! On Friday we drove to a Clubhouse Restaurant with friends Eric and Sarah Bell (Sarah is due on May 1st with their first baby - a girl!) We were also able to stop at SONIC - I WAS SO EXCITED! Here are some pictures:

Justin's on the injured list

Two posts in one day!

Justin was working on the girls' play set today - the roof - and fell. He leaned to reach, the ladder fell over, and he fell on the ladder. We went to the emergency room - he probably has broken ribs. We have to have them x-rayed again in a week. He also has to do a breathing treatment every hour to learn to take deep breaths again. Basically he has about 4 weeks of pain and recovery. Poor guy. Pray for his pain. He is going to try sleeping in the recliner tonight.

Easter 2010 and the last week

The last week has been crazy. Last Monday I had knee surgery. They found a tear and shaved it apparently. Everything went well. I feel like recovery is slow. It tends to swell and get warm when I am up and doing things around the house. I am going to physical therapy 3 times a week. We owe a huge thanks to Jecca (and Chris for loaning her to us :) ) She is amazing! She came and spent the night of the the surgery to help with the kids. She has also been over every other day if not every day. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have her help. She has been and absolute gift!

While they were here on Tuesday, we dyed eggs. Hailey wanted to crack them all open and mush them all over the table. Kaelin Loved it of course.

Easter morning was met with baskets of course! Hailey kept pointing at hers amazed :). The girls ended up getting 4 each! (SPOILED) They received baskets from the 'Bunny', Gma Cindy and Papa Keith, Gma Barb and Papa Tom, and Jecca and Uncle Chris.

The girls also got to hunt eggs at Papa Tom and Gma Barb's. Hailey really got into it. Kaelin was very good about letting Hailey and Dominic find some too! She is such a good big cousin/sister. Overall we had a great Easter at church and visiting the Trezona side of the family and Papa Tom and Gma Barb in Grove City.

Justin is still plugging away on the playset. Hopefully I can post pics of the girls playing on it soon!

PS - Justin got me a MAC book this week! So I am posting this from downstairs on my new laptop! I LOVE IT! Plus it's MINE, so no downloaded or work junk on it from him :).
